I collected some coordinates using GPS Waypoint App, converted them and saved them as a CSV (Comma Delimited). After I plotted the coordinates  on ArcMap and they do not represent the shape of the subject property or facility. The points were not in line to give me the subject property or facility figure. 

What could be the possible cause of this?

And how can I fix this?

Based on your question, there might be various possibilities for this issue. Without access to the data, it would be very difficult to identify what the issue is. But it could be one of the following:

1. It might be an issue with interchanging the X and Y coordinate fields.

2. It might be an issue with the coordinate system. Kindly check to make sure you are using the right coordinate system.

3. It might be an issue with the accuracy of your GPS.

If you don't mind sharing the data, it would be nice to take a look at it.
